the road to success is long

The road to success is long, and one of the most complex parts is, after consistent disappointments, to pick yourself up and again find the motivation.

The length of this road and the fact that the battle is all against yourself make this profession this hard.

You will only succeed if you try measuring your success merely by financial profitability.

Reachable successful steps in between, like stepping stones of one's execution protocol improvement or any other process, need to be celebrated, and progress needs to be measured not only by hit rates and risk-reward ratios.

Without celebrating benchmarks like this, there is no way you are making it to "the top."

One can't go out and set a goal to be the fastest sprinter in the world and have this your entire goal for ten years of running every day.

You need to shave off your sprinting time and celebrate specific smaller goals set.

If one of these multiple to be faced low points in one's trading career is confronted, one needs to understand that the world, the market, goes on, and no one waits for Your self-pity.

Life continues either with or without your participation, and trading is precisely this, a challenge to find out about oneself of how deep one can dig to stand up again and walk on.

In the end, trading is nothing but a reflection of your courage.
